About the Artist

Adrian Borda is a surreal painter who still lives in his birthplace, Reghin, Romania. Reghin is a peaceful place with no social life, which Adrian finds is ideal for observing the artistic fight raging inside him. He’s an inner traveler, exploring the mysterious and extremely complex subconscious world. He doesn’t care about conventions or taboos, there are no sacred memes that cannot be touched in both his real life or his art. His paintings are deep meditations full of symbols about life and our most intimate tendencies and reactions…not necessarily to create something most people will like, but to open a window to haunting images impossible to forget.

Adrian started painting sixteen years ago, when he went to the Art High School in Targu-Mures. He continued the specialization in Iasi, “George Enescu” University, Faculty of Fine Arts and Design, in the painting section. Since then he has had personal and group expositions in Romania at Targu-Mures, Iasi, and Reghin, and at Eindhoven in the Netherlands. Through eBay, he has sold pieces to private art collections all over the world, including the United States, Hungry, Canada, France, Switzerland, Japan, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Greece. You can see more of his artwork in his online gallery at DeviantArt or on his website at
