About the Artist
Max Mitenkov is visual artist from Minsk, Belarus, who focuses on illustration using mixed media and photo manipulation. He currently teaches at the Belarusian National Technical University, and works as a freelancer for the development of visual content and architectural visualization.

Most of Max’s artwork would be classified as surrealism. He believes that through surrealism he can more finely examine the process of human interaction with the environment, focusing on emotion and human response to specific events: How does an event effect a person? How can a person change what is happening or to change themself? What events are most important? What happens if the “grand plan” changes? For Max, his artwork is a process of self-discovery.
